Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy reflects the current intended product setup: local storage for core app data, health-related and emotional wellness entries created by the user, anonymous analytics in native app builds, in-app advice enabled by default, OpenAI-powered advice processing, and no advertising SDKs at this time.
Overview
No Contact: Stay Gone is a breakup recovery and emotional wellness support app. The app stores core app data on your device by default, uses anonymous product analytics in native app builds, and can send messages from the in-app advice feature to backend infrastructure and service providers, including OpenAI-powered services, to generate replies.
Health and wellness-related data
For Google Play and similar platform disclosures, we treat the following as health-related, mental health-related, or otherwise sensitive wellness data when you provide it in the app: mood check-ins, emotional state, whether you wanted to contact your ex, breakup recovery progress, free-text onboarding story details, free-text stay-strong or journaling entries, and advice chat messages that may describe your feelings, relationships, or wellbeing. We use this information to provide the app’s core features, such as tracking progress, showing insights, saving entries on your device, and generating advice replies when you use the in-app advice feature.
Information stored locally
The app stores your chosen name, last-contact date, counter display preference, check-ins, contact-urge logs, stay-strong entries, onboarding responses, and in-app advice history in local app or browser storage. Locally stored entries can include health-related or sensitive wellness information such as mood, emotional difficulty, whether you wanted to contact your ex, breakup story details, trigger notes, reality checks, and unsent letter content.
In-app advice feature
The current codebase includes an in-app advice feature. When you send a message in that feature, the message content, including any health-related or emotional wellness information you choose to include, is transmitted to backend infrastructure and service providers, including OpenAI-powered services, so the app can generate a reply.
OpenAI processing
When the in-app advice feature uses OpenAI-powered processing, messages you submit in that feature are sent for processing by OpenAI in order to generate a reply. Even if Vivant LLC does not intentionally store advice transcripts in its own backend database, service providers may temporarily process or log request data as part of operating, securing, and troubleshooting the service.
Analytics
Native iOS and Android builds use PostHog for product analytics. Analytics events may include screen views, tab visits, onboarding progress, check-in activity, help-flow progress, advice usage, paywall interactions, purchases, restores, app variant, platform, an anonymous app-install identifier, and limited event metadata such as check-in values or message length. We use this information to understand usage patterns and improve the product. We do not intentionally send advice chat text, onboarding story text, or stay-strong journal text to PostHog.
Subscriptions and purchases
If you purchase a subscription, purchase processing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscription status and entitlement information may also be processed through RevenueCat so the app can determine whether premium access is active. Purchase and restore events may also be logged to our analytics provider so we can measure conversion and recovery separately.
How information is used
We use health-related and other app information to run the app, save progress, show streaks and insights, preserve advice history on your device, generate replies in the advice feature, measure engagement, understand which flows are useful, diagnose drop-off, and improve conversion and retention. We do not sell your health-related or sensitive wellness data.
Service providers and disclosures
Information from the in-app advice feature, including any health-related or sensitive wellness information you include in your messages, may be sent to or processed by service providers such as OpenAI and infrastructure or hosting providers used to operate that feature. Anonymous analytics data may be sent to or processed by PostHog as our analytics service provider. Subscription status data may be processed through RevenueCat as our subscription management service provider. We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
Retention and deletion
Locally stored information, including health-related or sensitive wellness entries, remains on the device or browser until you edit it, clear local storage, or remove the app. Vivant LLC does not intend to store advice transcripts in its own backend database. However, analytics providers, hosting providers, OpenAI, and RevenueCat may retain logs or records under their own operational policies.
Security
Local data security depends in part on the protections available on the user’s device or browser. Data sent for advice generation, analytics, and subscription processing also depends on the security controls of the services and infrastructure used to operate those features.
Future updates
If we add new data-using features in the future, such as accounts, new analytics use cases, advertising, or additional messaging capabilities, we will update this Privacy Policy before or when those features become available.
Your choices
You can edit information inside the app, stop using the app at any time, remove it from your device, and clear local app or browser storage using device or browser controls. If backend features are expanded later, additional access and deletion controls may be added.
Children
No Contact: Stay Gone is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown on this page.
